As shown in the figure, part A of the shell is more detailed than part B. Awabi Works adopt only part A, due to its particularly beautiful and detailed pattern among shells. The edge of the Rainbow Paua abalone (see diagram) is called "Calpe". It's an unfamiliar word, "Cal" in Korean means blade and "Pe" in Korean means shell. We adopted this term that used by the abalone sheet molding factory. As the name meaning of the term, it is shaped like a knife and has a unique color and pattern, which is a difficult part for sheet molding. [UV Glow Series] Adopted with UV luminous paint (also known as Keimura), which is highly evaluated for its effectiveness against fish caught in either offshore fishing or trout fishing in managed fishing areas where anglers are normally overcrowded. Normally, human beings distinguish colors through visible spectrum (light that is visible through naked eye), but many fish are said to have the ability to distinguish ultraviolet light. Visible light will be absorbed in the water and become darker as it gets deeper, but UV light has the feature of reaching deeper than regular visible light.
